1. Agartala press Club Foundation Day sponsored by Sister Spice
Agartala Press Club, the apex media body and premier social cultural organization in the state, celebrated its 39th foundation day with great enthusiasm. VIPs and members attended the event, which included a cultural program featuring ‘Baul’ artists and local musical talents. Pranab Sarkar, the press club secretary, Arun Nath, the vice president of the club and editor of the ‘Tripura Observer’ newspaper, and Rama Kanta Deb, the assistant secretary of the club, addressed the audience and briefly spoke about the club’s founding and evolution since its launch on January 30, 1983.
The chief secretary J.K.Sinha, his wife and the director of the ICA department Ratan Biswas attended the programme as guests of honour.Both were honoured with mementos and ‘Uttariya’. The assistant high commissioner of Bangladesh mission Arif Mohammed also graced the occasion as special guest.
Following the heart-warming cultural program, the attendees, which included club members, were invited to indulge in a lavish dinner sponsored by Gautam Paul, the owner of ‘Sister Spices,’ Tripura’s leading entrepreneur. The delectable fourteen-course meal featured two exclusive items, ‘Soya Granules’ and ‘Soya Porridge,’ specially crafted by Sister for local marketing purposes, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
2. Covid Relief donation drive
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals and organizations have stepped forward to support those in need. Sister Spices, a well-known brand in the food industry, has been actively involved in providing relief to those affected by the pandemic.
In 2020, Sister Spices sponsored a food donation drive to 700 poor families in Dukli’s Kathalia School. The food donation drive was conducted in the presence of MLA Ram Prasad Paul, along with the owner of Sister Spices, Gautam Paul.
The initiative was aimed at providing food assistance to families who were struggling to make ends meet due to the pandemic’s economic impact. 3. A generous contribution to CM relief fund
In April 2020, Sister Spice, a popular Indian spice brand, made a significant donation of INR 12 lakh to the Tripura Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The donation was handed over to the former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb by the owner of Sister Spice, Goutam Paul.
